I'm Christopher James, a freelance sports journalist, researcher, podcaster and storyteller. Throughout my career, I've worked with some of the most renowned publications in the cycling world, including Cycling Weekly, Rouleur, Escape Collective, Velo and Cyclingnews, covering everything from breaking news to in-depth features and exclusive interviews.
My work is not limited to cycling. I have also covered football, athletics, darts, cricket and other sports, as well as working as a walking, cycling and skiing guide for five years.
Journalism, investigation and narration
Sport is more than a competition: it is a story in constant evolution. As a journalist, I seek to delve into each event and give context to each news item. In addition, I have developed my facet as a researcher and narrator, which has led me to produce content in other formats, such as podcasts and television.
Among my projects, I have produced Ghost in the Machine, a podcast series investigating mechanical doping in cycling, and hosted Radio Cycling. I am currently exploring new stories in documentary and literary formats.
